♥ I hearts you too ♥

Super easy valentines gift ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

DIY Tutorial...

Today I thought I would share the love a little.. I have been making these fabulous heart shaped cushions for a while now and I thought I would share a few.. they are super easy to make and so cute!! All you need is some fabulous fabric.... a sewing machine, pattern paper, pins, tailors chalk, needle and thread and some toy stuffing. Oh yeah and LOVE. x

As you can see they look fab on your sofa or as part of a cute display  ♥

To get started....

Make your heart pattern with either pattern paper [or just paper]. It can be as big or small as you like. Fold paper in half and cut one half of the heart so you get a symmetrical one.

♥ With your chosen fabric, place the fabric best sides together [ so what you want on the outside in end result.] As it will be turned inside out later.

Pin the two pieces to your pattern [now unfolded!] and with a taylors chalk draw around your fabric.

Now remove pattern paper and pin the two pieces of fabric together as you go.

♥ Now you can cut the fabric.. leave a small seam allowance [ 1cm is fine] around where you intend to sew.

You are now ready to sew... use either a matching cotton or if you fancy a contrast then that can look great too. Pick somewhere that will be easy to hand sew up after as remember you are leaving a small gap to put your stuffing into.

♥ Sew all around the heart along your chalked line until you are nearly at starting point, leave a gap big enough to put stuffing into easily. Backstitch a bit.

♥ Now, get your hand inside and turn the heart inside out so now the fabric is the right way around.

Fill with toy stuffing, as soft or hard as you fancy.... then get same cotton as used to machine sew and sew up the little gap.

♥ Voila! A cute soft little or big heart.. can be used as cushion or just to make your house look cute and happy. Here are a few of mine.... I also make mini ones into brooches and hanging items.

See my Etsy shop to buy one for a loved one x

Hope you enjoy making one yourself!

Lots of love,

Miss K-T ♥
