Sconnie and Jam - Wooden Love! x

So my Tuesday wandering has led me to this cute Etsy shop..... Sconnie and Jam. They are the duo behind this great little label full of all sorts of things [ just what I like] but currently their Etsy store is full of fabulous lazer cut jewellery with whimsical cute designs like caravans and bunting and owls.

There are coffee cup earrings and chevron necklaces.... all very cool.  They also like to up cycle vintage pieces to new treasures....

You can find them on facebook too!

How darn cute are these colours, I also love the photographs, so lovely.

Enjoy, it has brightened up my day. x

Enjoy!

The Lolly shop of Stitchester - Edible Fun. x

Hi,

So I have been thinking a lot about what I am going to do after the exhibition finishes and I have decided I want to expand on Stitchester and the products as I believe there is a real chance for it to grow as it's own idea... I have always fancied making my own sweets as I love them and the packaging of sweets so much that it seems the perfect fit... There are some amazing moulds out there as well, today I have seen one for vintage buttons, how freaking cute would that be to have a little edible buttons to give as a gift!

And it all ties up with the ideas behind the village, you would visit there and buy a little treat.. maybe I could even order/make some stitchester rock! Arrgh what a cute idea. Yes I will do that.

It will be very twee, bright and whimsical with gorgeous 'English village' vibe. Think candies with a handmade touch, cute shapes and colours... Think ribbins and stripes and polka dots and of course above all HEARTS. I will share images as soon as I have made the first batch!

Here are a few sweet inspirations.....

Hope you enjoy the colours!

Colette Bream - What shall we play today?

I have stumbled across this lovely Etsy shop today fed to me from my Etsy finds.. it's my favourite email to open each morning as you know something pretty awaits you!

The artist behind this fab new find is Colette Bream, based in America.

I just really love the shapes and knitted soft elements to her work, some of it is similar to what I like to create which is what I think has drawn me in, like the clouds and the fact that she likes to name things and give them faces and a character. She makes trees, balloons, rainclouds, houses and strange mushroom cushions. Mainly for kids... or anyone who likes soft home wares I say!

The photography is great and  the lighting makes everything look so soft and I just want to touch it all! The styling of her products is fabulous and something I aspire to do!

A lot of the cushions are made from a beautiful lambswool, so so soft. She is very talented and her work is so beautiful.

They are all handmade and made to order which makes them unique and special which I adore.

What great gifts for children.... or for yourself..... x

Pomme de Jour - Bonjour!

Oh my word I have found the most amazing website, I literally have never wanted to buy more from one Etsy shop at once ever...

It is based in Perpignan, France and called Pomme de Jour which means Apple of the day [which is equally as adorable!] and she sells vintage french items which are just to die for. Bright, very 70's and just so beautiful.

She sells vintage wallpapers, fabrics, maison, cuisine, haberdashery and journals.. and they are all gorgeous. So beautifully chosen and photographed, you can tell she has chosen and sourced these items with a true love and passion, I wonder what is hidden in her cupboard?

It is like walking back in time to your Nan's house and rummaging through the cupboards, everything just makes me smile. One day I would like a house full of object da like this!

I think it is all especially sweet because the kids books and Illustrations are in French making it secret and special.

She also has a fab blog...

Just a snippet of some of the wares but you really have to see it to believe it.

Oh I want it alllllllll. If anyone is ever in need of finding me a gift basically anything from her AMAZING shop would eb a welcome treat!

Lots love,

Stitchester Artwork

Hi,

I have been a bit absent and distracted, no excuse I know. I am trying to finish things off as I have less than a week now and still don't know how I am displaying things really! I can see it in my head, ideally I need a couch and a coffee table but I can't do that so I am going to Reverse Garbage this weekend to find what I need. whether that will be bricks, containers or chairs I am not sure! I am just hoping something will present itself to me....

I thought I would share some of the artwork that has been made for promoting the event, my friend Ali Groves who doesn't yet have a website [ but when she does I will share] made the fab 4 posters for me.. all with a different vintage fabric background, I love them. She did a great job and I feel she really captured my style which is great. So thank you to Ali. x

Also the fab guys at the Sweets workshop have made an awesome flyer for me which is bright, quirky and wonderful.

I have been slacking on the blogging front but I will be back soon..

Also there is a cute little website James made for me... stitchester at the moment it is mainly for the exhibition information but afterwards there will be more stuff on there and I am in the process of making a new Etsy shop just for stitchester so watch this space! I have so many ideas for it... so let's hope the show goes well and other people like it too.

Enjoy,
