Etsy Pop Up Goodness.

Hello and Happy Frikken Friday!

So I went to the pop up shop last night and it is pretty amazing! Location wise it is smack bang in town so I hope it will raise some Etsy awareness!

I would highly recommend you 'popping' in. Ha ha.

Here are a few of my faves from last night, the delicious gin cocktails were also YUM. But best to go see it yourself I'd say. x

Have a fabulous weekend!

Hello!

Guess what it coming to a city near you..Well if you are in Sydney that is. An Etsy Pop up shop! It opens this Thursday and in the evening there is cocktail testing with Trolley'd and The West Winds Gin, catering by Ruby & Rach. If that isn't a good reason to go and have a look I don't know what is!

It is a great chance to get those one-of-a-kind gifts in person and meet some of the makers behind them too.

It runs for 15 days and there are heaps of workshops going on and you can find the events list here.

Workshops include Christmas ornaments from cloth with Alex Falkiner, dream catchers with Little Nicki, Flower bombing with Holly Hipwell,

There will also be pop up vintage emporiums by The Fox and The Spoon and Cara Mia Vintage

Also maker demonstrations including - Milkcart, Badger Lane. and Pom by Pomegranate.

There are also gift curators on the website including Jason Grant and Stephanie Somebody.

What an awesome event, also did I mention at 8 am every day there is a happy hour of coffee and pastries from Black star Pastries! YUM.

Gorman And Homewares. Hello.

Morning!

So I was guess it was only a matter of time... and how lovely it is!

Gorman has launched their homewares range today alongside collaborations with some of my fave Australian artists auch as Leah BartholomewRachel Castle and Ellie Malin. I have found some new ones to fall in love with too such as Miss Moresby, Connie Lichti and a few more.... Look here to see the list and details on each artist.

There are some gorgeous pieces across a multitude of materials including linens, ceramics, textiles and handturned wooden candlesticks. Yup it is totally worth a look but I warn you you will want ALOT.

Just a few examples of the beauties, all available instore and online NOW.

I mean, who wouldn't want to snuggle up in bed with a bunch of watermelons? No?! Just me?!

So go check it out for some fabulous and handmade products from Australian designers and Gorman. Pretty much a dream come true I'd say.

Happy shopping :)

Garage Sale Goodies

Hi,

I am not so happy it is Monday but I am happy that I get to share with you a few of the things I found at the Garage Sale Trail.. I know I have been harping on about it but it was the best day. Maybe ever.

What could be better than a sunny day of driving around the Eastern suburbs of Sydney chasing treasure?! We started early at a public school boot fair in Randwick where I scored 2 baskets, pots and pans and glasses, oh yeah and the pink shoes.. and it went on..

We then followed a trail I had made through the East, Bronte, Clovelly and the back of Bondi. As well as the sales on my trail we also came across random ones by following homemade signs and arrows. It was so fun and everyone having the sales was having a great day, most people were sitting around having beers or even selling cakes and milks made from nuts!

The best thing is that everything bought is an item saved from landfill which is what this is all about, upcycling and sharing instead of wasting. Getting a bargain is great but it is also good to give an old thing a new home!

Treasure from the day:

Other items I scored included a work bench and rotary saw for James, 4 shirts for him, pattern papers, the hat thing I am wearing below.. more floral pans, tea towels, fabric, a white Cockatoo's head and 2 more picnic baskets! [They are my weakness and my latest project!]

As you can see I went slightly over the top and this point was shaking with delight! For anyone who loves the thrill of bargain hunting and treasure finding it is a must do. They have already released next years date: Sat October 25th. I wish we didn't have to wait a whole year!

I hope this encourages you to get out there and 'Garage Sale' it up. Have one, go to one... and don't throw things away that aren't broken, there is always a treasure hunter out there, you just have to find them!
