Wrap It Up! - The Souvenir Society

I need to get a few gifts and I am always thinking about different packaging and I remembered this fabulous brand I know of..

I have been admiring this brand for a while and I think you will like what they are doing... it's pretty special.

Called The Souvenir Society [ great name!] They design a selection of goodies from tags, wrapping paper and cards to beautiful re usable wrapping cloths! It is a collaboration of two designers from different fields who clearly lust over pattern and Illustration and boy has it worked.

The wrapping cloths below are simply genius and oh so gorgeous with names like 'Yikes Stripes'! What a great idea and they become part of the gift too which is lovely. Hang it on a wall or maybe wear it as a scarf! I would love it if my gifts came wrapped in fabrics.....seriously guys come on.

They even show you how to wrap with them here.

And to please us all, the paper goods have been made with FSC certified 100% recycled paper stock and compostable cello packing [ which I am pleased to know exists!]

I can't wait to see what comes out next....

Happy shopping!

Time For Bed - Kip & Co

Is it bed time yet?

For some reason this week I just really feel like staying in bed... Maybe it's the chill in the air in the morning and the fact that it's all warm under the duvet [ yes duvet, I am not convinced on calling it a doona yet!]

So my current dream bedding would be from Kip & Co, I can't quite believe I haven't talked about them before to be honest. I am sure it is obvious why I like them, bold bright prints and a lot of fun!! They are a quirky Textile & lifestyle brand that specialise in bedding for everyone! They also go things for the rest of the home...

I am loving the  AW14 range including this hand quilted ' Birds' print. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.

If you fancy brightening up your bedroom for Spring then this might be how... You can buy it here.

The Kookiest Cornershop by Lucy Sparrow

Wow, do I have a post for you today…

'A fluffy shopping experience'

A London based artist, Lucy Sparrow has re-created a typical English ‘Cornershop’ completely in Felt!
She has made over 4,000 items including Spam, fruit, veg and even a pic n mix stand! To say I am excited about this is the biggest understatement...

It looks amazing, wonderfully clever and completely awesome!

Even the till, pricing gun and freezer contents are made entirely from felt. This took 7 months to complete and has been supported by Kickstarter, TheArts Council and is sponsored by Swizzel’s.

Just a snippet of what she has made....

Everything is for sale but will stay in the shop for 1 month as part of the exhibition. You can also make purchases on-line here [THANK GOODNESS]. How will I decide what I want…. I think I need to be quick too!

Also for the month of August there will be sewing workshops taking place to engage the local community (particularly individuals with autism and sectors often socially excluded.) What a fabulous project..

If you are in London then you must go and see it! What was a derelict shop in Bethnal green is now an epic colour feast for the eyes!

The Cornershop
19 Wellington Row

1st-31st August

Open Every Day 10am-7pm

If you want to follow her on social things she is: @sewyoursoul

Happy shopping.
